Samruddha Jana Parishad is a unique organization and experiment in social development. Unlike the prevalent development model where 'non-government organization' establish themselves in their designated areas and seek funds for specific projects, SJP only supports its facilitators. Our facilitators are responsible for initiating the collective decision making process in the village communities to solve their common issues. If the solution involves initiating projects, our facilitators help the communities to tap into government or charitable foundation funds as well as schemes that support village infrastructure development. Having the communities solve their own issues develops their capacity to come together and eventually resolve further issues without outside intervention.
Support options:
1) Each village facilitator requires INR 6,000/- per month to meet their family’s financial requirement, purchase / subscribe for reading material and cover travel costs (to village, peer review meetings and government offices for follow up). Contribute in meeting this cost.
2) Contribute INR 10,000/- lump sum for bearing the expenses of one learning visit for the team of village facilitators.
3) Form a support group of mentors for village facilitators.
